Vafc settings
I have a 98 prelude that's automatic with the sport-shift. I have a few mods done like intake and ignition wires. I just purchased a VAFC and before I get it installed I need to know some good settings for it. I don't have dyno around here so I guess I would have to settle for some good settings until I can get it dynoed. Does anyone know some settings for an automatic Prelude, or do you have any advise on learning on how to set it with out a dyno? Please help
You really need a dyno. I've got a VAFC and it's useless until I can find enough time to take off work for some quality dyno time.
Do a search for VAFC here, it comes up a lot.

On my Field VTEC controller I have it leaned out -10 at 5k and up. See the green run in my dyno plot Anyone get better gains with the vafc?

No that is the only graph I have on the net. I have an AEM intake, DC header, Greddy EVO exhaust, UR crank pulley, and the Field VTEC controller on my '98 Type SH.

That site is the bomb.
Every car is different. Using those settings is a bad idea, because you could be too lean in some spots and have more tunability in other spots. My settings are from -2% to -9% in different areas. DYNO YOUR CAR with wideband O2, people!

<EDIT> Important!!- 5500 is the Apexi unit's default, 5100 is the Prelude default. Upon installation, move the rollover to 5100 on, 5000 off!
Also, I think that NTPOG workaround is hogwash. Leave your ECU connected. If you want a REAL OBDII workaround, get a Hondata stage 2 (find someone with a stage 4 to tune it in), then a GSR ecu and then you can really tune your car!!
