My friends JDM P72 ecu is chipped and works perfectly, the chip also removes the speed limiter. I've seen chips for sale which say "wont work on jdm ecu" but its possible that they have a program especially for USDM ecu's and a separate one for jdm, and maybe jdmhondaparts dont have that spec chip

 

im katman on the boards. he does the chipping on jdmhondaparts.

they're harder to do (the smaller ecus that looks like 1/2 the size of a USDM one), but I reprogram them anyways, I just charge like $25 more.

Can't you also chip obd2 jdm ecu's as well? I thought all jdm ecus are actually running an obd1 program and the only difference is the plugs?

 

correct, and its not the best ecu to choose for usdm motor.
