Default specs on stock cat on ef's

i am getting a catco cat.. but need some specs...
i got hedman headers with a 2" collector.. so i am know the inlet for the cat has t be 2".. now.... i need to know how wide the cat can be... and how long it should be .... also. if any of u guys have a catco... wich one will be the best series for my car... i got the headers and after the cat ill be having a custom made 2.25" piping with a arospeed exhaust.... i can get the custom piping made for 125 but i dont feel like paying 150 for just a freaking cat....any input will be lovely... also, does a specific series has the bolt pattern of the Hondas flange that has the 2 bolts off the headers???
thanxs!

first off. aerospeed is crap. avoid it like the plague.

Second. Just go down to a locale yard and get a cat off a 88-91 Si or 4dr EX they are all compatable with B series headers and will bolt together fine with your setup.
Cats at a yard should cost less than 60 bucks or less if the combs are in back shape. personally i would get the most messed up one you can fine and just gut it.

aigh bro
arosspeed exhaust looks good so far and speciallywhen i bought it off my friend for just 50 bucks..
i dont wanna go and get a cat off a yunkyard.. theres a few around.. i dont get them bc i want a new cat, that isnt rusted, clogged and non functional.(for that i rather keep my stock one)
second i dont have a B series headers.. i got a Hedman headers (in my D16Z6)
third i dont wanna gut a cat,its ghetto, it meesed the sound a lot ,the performance, and sounds hollow and doesnt make its function....

if u didnt know the specs just say so....

First off. Im not trying to be a dick. Im only trying to help. And as far as a gutted cat doing nothing for power. I dyno'd the car after the cat was gutted with my B16 only to gain 6 hp and 3lbs. ( yes the cat was clogged, and thats where most of the power came from ) All Im saying is if your going to do one thing the best way possible you might as well do everything like that. I have not heard anything about your header. chances are good that its better than stock. with a 2" collector and a Si cat and 2"-2 1/4" piping everything is going to bolt up well. just remember to replace all the dounuts and make sure everything is tite. And before you decide to spend the big bills, Ask yourself if that z6 is going to be enough. I have gone through 6 motors trying to find one that was fast enough. currently Im now running a B20vtec and since have replace my whole exhaust system header back 3 times. just trying to possibly save you some time and money.
But in the end its your decision and your money and you probably dont give a **** what i say. So... to each his own... best on luck. and have fun.

thanxs anyways.
u just sounded a lil dicky
maybe the way u expressed urself...
the Z6 its going to be good enough for me...
my goal its hitting 13's(at least once N/A) and still keep it my daily driver.... the right parts, and tunning its going to help me get there... i am no a dick trying to be the fastest.. i just wanna be quick... anyways...have some fun and show that me and my lil Z6 can be good... i currently even have a turbo and i can do my yunkyard turbo, but i dont want to ... i have fun building engines., and like that N/A reliability.... i just wanted some diameter specs....

no hard feelings!

being that in Most states you cant buy used CATs out of yards.....they either take them off and recycle them or wont let you buy them

got the same set up hedman header and catco bolt on by the way summit racing sells them for 99$ for our cars and they are good. I got 2 1/4 cat and it bolted up fine but i thought the outlet on header was 2 1/4 so you might want to look in to this.
