put it towards a swap..or a rebuild on your motor..or a cam and cam gear..but then youll need some $$ for tuning so..

yea, i mean nos is the best hp for dollar upgrade; however, with the miles on your engine it will be better spent on rebuilding or saving for a changeover.

u could run a compression test, however even if u find things are peachy i think u r still wasting your money. 600 goes a long way toward a changeover.

He's asking for stuff under $600. A swap is a hell of alot more than $600.

For the 3rd time, run a compression test. You say the motor "runs great".

If the comp test comes up good, i see no problem with running a "well tuned" (AKA proper fueling, plugs, etc...) 55 shot on that motor. 191,000 or not...

a cam gear on a SOHC motor is a waste of money
the same thing can be accomplished by rotating the distributor and thats free.

id say save for a swap.

You smoked how much??????

How is rotating the distributor gonna effect the cam timing? It can't and won't. You can gain an easy 5-6 HP tuning a cam gear.
