Default ? for GSR guys w/ ITR internals

we're putting in USDM ITR pistons in my buddies GSR w/ PnP head, head is going to keep the stock valvetrain for now , and nothing is being milled. My ? is, will the fuel have any problems still being ran under the GSR ECU and stock fuel regulator. IT is getting a new ITR oil pump, but no mods have been made to the fuel

you shouldnt have any problems but then again you shouldnt be expecting any gains also. once the valve trainand and fuel injectors are upgraded, the only "problem" i can forsee is lesser miles per gallon. thats about all i can think of...

if you are going to hone the block then balance the block when dropping in pistons....doing it the RIGHT way, why go with crappy ITR pistons and not Toda A's or B's?

seems very wasteful of money...unless you skipped the honing and the balancing....in which case good luck with all that

i shouldn't be expecting any gains? i thought w/ the higher compression pistons, and PnP GSR head, it would increase the power pretty good. So pretty much i should be expecting more power once i get the ITR valvetrain in? will the extra 400rpm range really make that much of a difference?

im sorry i meant that with itr pistons alone there will not be any significant gains but with an upgraded valve train, that will make the difference and put the pistons into better use.

also, the 400 more rpms will make a difference. think of it this way, when you redline the gsr motor, the next gear (say 2nd for example) will land you anywhere between 5400 and maybe 5600 rpm range. now think what rpms ull drop when redlining at 8400 instead of 8K. the next gear will drop u in a better power range, hence better response and power.
