Hello. I am currently looking at purchasing a 1996 integra or a 1997 civic hatchback. My only concern is if they make the HB's in all power (pw pdl). Thanks!!

Why didnt they make hatches with power? This makes me angry!! Well...how much am I looking at for a kit to add on? I think auto-loc has a kit for like 200. How hard would the install be do ya know? TIA!

 

Cause hatches were made to be "cheap and affordable". Even the 5th generation (92-95) Si hatchback didn't have power windows. I think that was more of a "sport" thing though..

 

However, you can swap power windows locks and mirrors from any 6th gen Civic. I pulled mine from a rolled SI. You will need the window motors and arms, lock solenoids, control box located under the dash and the wiring for everything. I got an awesome deal on mine at $160 (quoted over $400 at a junkyard). Remember, these are all factory parts, plus it all include power mirrors and tweeter pods. It will take some work to put them in, but should be worth it. Honestly, having manual locks and windows was not a big deal. It was my first car that didn't have power anything and didn't bother me.

if you bought it BRAND new you could add them as a option for a outrageous price.

 

If you want to make it easy just get the Integra. Aftermarket add on stuff isn't as reliable as OEM Honda. Besides in no time you'll be making your Civic into a wannabe Integra, swapping engines, brakes, seats.. you know the deal.

 

I had power locks installed on mine. I WAS planning on doing power windows.. but I decided not to be a PANSY. It's not a big deal to me anymore.. I'm used to it.

 

power lock are ease. Power window i would recommend getting them from another civic. i did this to my 94 dx coupe, everything is bolt-on. The only problem is the wires. I paid $250 for everything (door panels, switches, wires, motors, regulator).

all power, the only thing power in a dx is the steering, and if your lucky maybe, maybe a cassete!

 

I have a 93 hatch cx and I got 94 ex doors and had my friend who installs stereos wire them in. I suggest getting the whole doors that have the tweeter speaker in it. But I think you will need 96 and up 2 door EX doors and just wire them in

 

yep, just add power windows and locks. mine also came of a 99-00 si. it works just like factory, i even got the power side mirrors.
