crower 402 cams???????
Ok I have a 94 integra ls with intake, exhaust, header, and cat. That didn't give me that much so I think I am going to get cams. Will I get a noticable amount of power with the crower 402 cams and can you feel it pull harder. Or would i be better off getting the crower 403 cams I heard you need to get the valve springs and I don't want to spend that extra 300 or so. Also with these cams I am for surely getting cam gears what brand would you recomend. Would I be benefical to get a apexi SAFC along with the cams and cam gears any more information would be appreciated. Thanks
from what i've read on the message boards, most b18a/b owners are going with the wilder 403 or 404's. yes with a cam upgrade you will need a fuel controller such as the SAFC. maybe also an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. another note: you might also need to change your pistons to up the compression depending on how wild the cam is. and run on 91+ octane to prevent detonation.

The 402's are relatively mild cam, decent midrange-little gain up top.
The 403's are a more aggresive cam, better midrange and better top end. The valvespring/retainer upgrade is not absolutely necessary, but recommended by Crower. These will pull much harder especially from 5k to redline.
No matter what cam you decide on you'll need an fpr, fpr gauge, some cam adjustable cam gears, and about an hour's worth of dyno tuning. A 2 layer head gasket and SAFC would certainly help your cause but are not necessary.
BTW: Are you installing these yourself or taking them to one of the tuner shops here in town? If so, which one?
I've got the 403's and AEM cam gears......waiting to buy the springs, fpr, fpr gauge, head gasket, and safc in December and hopefully have the whole setup dialed in by early Jan.
