Default My Si does not run like it should....

Just wondering if anyone would know off the top of their head why a 1999 Si does not run like it should? Meaning in the quarter mile our Si runs 15.92 at 83 mph. All the other 99's can run 15.6 at ?? mph. Actually that is with an AEM intake.

I have had 3 people try to run our car and it still could not break 15.92. Our other stock 99 Si can run 16.1. And that is stock. Any suggestions would help.

its all about the driver. what were your 60 fts during these passes. and ive seen Si civics run anywhere from 15.5-16.1 in stock trim. Its all about the driver

I ran a 15.4 with a AEM intake. You can hit a mid 15's stock if you know how to drive. If you do a fat burn out before you take off with a stock clutch you will do slower times because the stock clutch gets too hot and starts slipping and then you start doing 16's.

A lot of it depends on track condition and elevation. I've NEVER seen a 99-00 Si break 15.9 here.

Your MPH seems really low. It has to be your elevation.

I've seen one go 14.8 with I/h/e here and even as slow as 16.8. Its mostly driver but your looks like elevation.

elevation and driving skills effects the e.t. but on average, 99-00 si's should run mid 15's

location in the usa.
usually all the east coast si's will run low 15's mid 15's if they can drive.

i ran a 15.5 in a stock si. it was my cousin's. later on he bolted on exhaust, got rims, and suspension. could only muster a 15.6. i'll rip a 15.0 if it had suspension.

i hate them si's their tricky to drive. wheel hop everywhere. and the stock tires aren't helping.

Back in 99,i saw three guys at the track with brand new Si's.Before they made a pass they were all happy and showing off, thinkin that they were the ****.After all 3 made pass,it was so funny, they were sitting around staring at each others time slip almost crying and shaking their heads, they all ran 16.1s and 16.2s.So i say your Si is running like it should, just an air filter setup aint gonna add much.

15.9 to 16.4 is normal for a stock si. Put the big bad blue on it. It'll take care of all your problems. Either that or a Rev Hard kit!! "Rev Hard or dont rev at all!"

I ran a 14.9@92.5 with only a cold air intake (homemade) and unbolted the stock muffler on the stock exaust system.

50 degrees didnt hurt either
