Default Door Dings

I got a bunch of door dings/dents due to stupid people who park to close and dont know how to open doors. What do you all do to get rid of them? Has anyone heard or tried the ding king dent remover (as seen on TV)? Do you think it works?

i dont think the dent king will work for such small dents...hell that tv crap will prolly make it worse...there are companys that do small dents for dealer cars that got screwed up on the lot. they do a pretty good job for like $50 bucks a ding. i no a company around here in NJ called 1-800-fix-dent...but thats here try callin a local dealer ship..to see if they no of any companys like that exist...if not try parkin your car farther away from anything..it works for me, besides i can use the exercise.......good luck

Yep, DING KING sucks! Smart parking is the only way to go.

Body work and repaint is your best option to resolve door dings, unfortunately.

I had a few on my doors, so i took off my door panels and pushed them out with the rounded side of a spoon. Try it... it worked for me

I own the Ding King. It does remove dents. I successully fixed 2 mediums, and 1 large dent. It won't work on small dings. For $29, it's worth it.

If you want the doors perfect, go to Dent Wizard, and pay $$$. If you want to do it on the cheap, and get the dent out of the car that you put in in when you pushed on the rear quarters to show your buddy how stiff your shocks are, go for the Ding King.

Don't waste your money on the dent king it only works on bigger dents on flemsy panels and even then it only works about 1/4 of the time, if you have a few small dents you can try a paintless repair company, but for a like new finish paint and body work is the best thing to do.

the only way to fix door dings is by parking next to NO cars. no point in gettin a body shop to repair em.

The Automotive Repair & Refinishing Industry thanks you

I run a body shop for my family, & I've had customers ask me about this DING KING thing. I just laugh & ask them "do you ever think about that glue damaging the clear coat?"

take it to a paintless ding place...there are usually a few in every area. Some of them even come to your house. I went to one recently and it was $65 a panel. He took a nasty one out and my door looks perfect now. Of course I had to touch up the paint where the door scratched it too.

To those that say park far away...it isn't always possible and doesn't always work. I live in an apartment complex with no possible street parking so I am forced to park in my spot in the carport. The spots are like 4" wider than my integra so there is no way I can avoid them. And parking at the very far end of a parking lot 1" from the curb is what I do when I'm out but somehow when I get back to the car there is almost always someone that parks right next to me!!!

I've used the Ding King. It's better for larger dents, baseball size +. Removes them 'bout 80%. It won't do much for small shopping cart or door dents. Just buy it at Target and return it if it don't work for ya.
