I got a 2003 Accord with a 4cyl VTEC engine! I love It! I was thinkin of tradin it for a 2003 Accord V6, but Ive been hearin rumors that the 4cyl are better. Anyone have any input on this? Personaly, I want a car w/ speed -n- torque in it! I just got rid of my 94 camaro cause it blew a head gasket. I was just wonderin if I would be better off suppin up the 4cyl or the 6cyl!

 

yo i've been hearin rumors that the 4cyl are better two. the V6 torque #'s are pretty low (212lb-ft). The 4cyl has 160hp wit 161lb-ft. This the first time that an accord has had more torque than hp. The CRV and the new accord are the only HONDAS to have more hp than torque. But the V6 still has 240hp. and when HONDA put the 6speed in it. i don't think we can believe those rumors anymore. The 4 won't be able to compete. i would keep your 4. APEXi already make exhaust for it. Its called the World Sport Series. It may not be true though i don't know how reliable autocarparts.com is.

According to the january 03 issue of Motor Trend. The v6 coupe with auto trans runs the 1/4 mile in 14.5@99mph.

 

Get the V6 auto, those times for an auto are outrageous

 

imagine the times for the 6-spd, they're sweet cars man.

 

According tothe december 02 issue of Motor Trend. The v6 coupe with a 6-speed runs the 1/4 in 14.54@98mph. That's not better than the auto. That sucks.

Those are not the Auto V6 times. Impossible to trap at 99 with 3300+ pound and only 240 HP. They are more like low 15's car.
There is a guy at superhonda did 15.3 to his best all stock.
