Default vtec sensor

damm..why does it cost $140 for the top part of the vtec sensor... also, how can i tell if vtec isn't working in my z6, other than feeling the power...

You might want to check your oil level for one thing. I remember KAMIN on this message board saying that if your oil level is low, vtec will not engage, which is true as the solenoid need oil pressure to activate. You can also dis-connect the solenoid and jump it and see if it clicks. Good luck
