Vtec when cold???? WTF???
okay...so i have no vtec when my car is at normal operating temp.....but i do when its cold....honestly i dont know why.....but the shop that i go to has narrowed it down thinking that its eaither a oil pressure sending unit.....or a leak in my rocker arms not allowing the oil to get to the vtec sylinoid.....would eaither of those cause no vtec when warm but vtec when cold? im sooo confused please help me on this.....

I have never heard of that in the 11 years of working on honda's... do you have an AFC or vtec controller... I would think maybe an oil pressure sensor or coolant temp senser to the ecu.... if you have any extra's it doesn't hurt to try switching them....

I was thinking maybe your afc wasn't working properly... and I was refering to vtec pressure switch... the other is for the gauge.. And your temp sensor could be messed up... the one the ecu reads from... over by your distributor... the 2 pin one... doing opposite... I would change the easy stuff first... it kinda doesn't sound like oil pressure problems tho... I would change that coolant sensor first personally...
