Default walbro fuel pump ?

K Here my questions...i have no clue so please help me out or point me to a website that can help.

1) The walbro 255lph and the 255lph-hp what are the differences...i know that the second one (hp) will flow more that higher pressures...but what other differences are there if any?

2) What will be the advantages or disadvantages of running this now with my d16 engine while I'm waiting to put b18c1 with rev hard turbo. (my pump is bad and need a new one) so can I use this one now or will that not be a good idea?

3) Where can i find more info on fuel setups and so fourth? I need a book to read or a website to read...please point me in right direction.

My friend turbo'd his VW VR6 and upgraded his fuel injectors and fuel pump...the fuel pump was way higher than he needed so his car was literally spitting fuel out of the exhuast.....I'm not sure if youll have problems with the fuel pump.....I doubt you would though

For your B18C are you planning on running any internals??? My friend's B18C has stock sleeves and is bored .50mm over with JE 9.0:1 slugs and Eagle rods.. Portflow head, B16 cams, RC 900's, JG Victor X manifold, He's got a RevHard stage 2C turbo kit with a T3/T04E hybrid turbo, Turbo XS BOV, Tial wastegate, Blitz SBC, chipped P28 and Hondata2b... With this motor he's only running 13psi and his best so far is a 11.90@119 with a 2000 Si tranny in a full interior EK... The only problem with it is the gears are too short so he doesn't get full boost till 4th gear... Now he's got a hybrid LS tranny and is building a new sleeved motor... He dynoed at 350whp... My other friend has an EK with a sleeved GSR motor.... Basically the same setup except he's running a straigh T04 turbo, and Turbo Innovations 42.5mm wastegate, and more boost.. On 22psi his car made 505whp... He drives it around on full boost everywhere which is cool still you stab on it.. hehe.. His best now is an 11.8@121 but he had no traction through 3rd gear.. He had his 5 lug on so he was only running MT 22x8x15 slicks.... He's got it switched back to four lug now so he can run his MT 24.5x9x13 on Bogart Pro 4's... Latez

No you'll be fine... My friend got a GSR from HMO a few months ago and it turned out to be fucked so he sent it back... The same day that we found out that it was bad i put in a Walbro 255lph pump and he rolled on it for 2 months with his DX motor till we got a new GSR from this guy locally, which i only put in 3 weeks ago... The Walbro was totally cool even with the DX motor.... Laterz

The walbro 255lph and the 255lph-hp what are the differences...i know that the second one (hp) will flow more that higher pressures...but what other differences are there if any?
"Really the only difference between the 255 and 255Hp is that the HP will not lose as much flow at higher pressures. The HP would be good if you are using some form of boost-dependent regulation (FMU) in which you will be radically increasing the fuel pressure. If you look at flow between the 2 pumps at 40-50 PSI, they are virtually identical. Above that, the 255HP extends good flow out for a little bit longer."

Quoted from H-T member LIGHTNING, who by the way is having a great sale on these here... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=298292

If you are looking for more fuel system info either use the search function or check out the FI forum here on H-T...

A 255 lph pump should be more than enough for your planned setup. I have a buddy with a 9 second street CRX that is running a 255 lph and he has had no problems. As far as driving with it for now is concerned, the car wiil run a little rich unless you use a fuel pressure regulator.
