Anyone have a pic on a STR Defuser and know the price. Looking to put one on the rear bumper of my 94 Hatch.

 

i dont have a pic...but the STR defuser will cost 100-150.

If they work that's good, if they don't that sucks. Either way it's still ugly.

 

They look bad but they serve a purpose on a track car. I believe there is a bubble of air that collects behind the bumper kind of like a parachute and that just lets the air flow through the bumper. But hey what do I know.

 

why not just cut the holes in your bumper on your own.
1.saves money
2.saves weight
3.saves face (a lil bit )

 

or, if cutting the bumper is not your style, then try making a lower diffuser that would smooth out the underside of the car, much like this...

IMO i have a pair on my bumper, and those things dont work....i think its just for show...waste of money and adds more weight....no str defusers=weight reduction better time at the tracks..

 

and i think they have them over at extreme dimensions for about 135 for eg...not sure tho...
