What are the differences between the hx and ex intake manifolds for the same year? Are there any differences? Thanks.

Can that be adapted to work on a dx motor? Other than that, are they the same?

 

I'm not sure about the HX.... A few years ago I wanted to but an EX manifold on my friend's 99 DX motor... Now that i think about it i really don't know how i would have done it... For the most part i don't work with SOHC motors but i do know that you will have a few problems... The DX manifold uses a 3 pin rotary style IAC and just about every other manifold B/D series all use the 2 pin linear IACs... It is possible to rewire for this manifold but you'll need a ECU that is set up for the linear style IACs... If you want something simple i would just swap a VTEC head and tranny on your motor... If you just want a little extra power then drop a B16... Personally I would go with a B18C but they are a little more spendy... Good luck...
