Default Intake Manifold

I have a question about intake manifold. What's the diffence between a 99-00 civic HX and an EX intake manifold. Are they both the same and could an EX intake fit a HX perfectly? Please help me

i think the ex intake arms are bigger as in thicker for more air to enter then the hx.but they should both work fine.

the intake manifolds plenum and size are identical, the HX manifold has provisions for the EGR valve, EX does not, there is no aftermarket manifold that will "correctly" fit a HX, if you do put one on, you WILL get a check engine light

ps. any crappy intake arm will fit, but you said manifold

not sure what a hx is as we dont have that trim up herre in canada but your ex(our si) has a y8 head and intake manifold. it does bolt up to the y7 head easily enough, you might have to splice a few wires to get the sensors to their sockets but its shouldnt be a problem. most people would swap the head at the same time.
