Default 90-93 integra h22?

Hey i recently had to get rid of a older 91 integra ls, i have been considering gettin another one (same body style, 2nd gen rules)becuase of all the fun i had, but this time i want to a vtec swap into it, i was wondering if it would be worth the effort trying to get the h22 in it and how it would handle, i friend of mine told me that the weight of the motor will probably mess with a lot of the handling, would this be true? (or could i just fix it with some shocks and springs?) why arent there more integras(swaps) with h22 versus a b18 vtec (generally b18 swaps are more expensive)? I know that b16s pretty much drop in, but i wanted to do somethin a little different with some torque. thanks devin

Any of the B - series motors should just about drop right in. The chassis was designed for these engines.

H - series on the other hand involves cutting. I would definetly go with something B. It strikes me as so much easier and also, there is a larger aftermarket for B's than there is for H.

Look at a lude engine bay, and tell me it wouldn't be even more cramped in a teg.

There are not more of the h22a swaps out there because it is a lot cheaper to make that engine into an ls/vtec instead of putting anh22a in it.

ls/vtec is expensive
when it's done the right way.....but most of the people just put on the vtec head on stock bottem end. That's why couples months later the engine is gone

Did not mean to imply that ls/vtec was cheaper, when done correctly but as you said to just throw on the head would be cheaper. I think that this appeals to a lot of people and they think that they will get good results. Then they think I can just make this engine a vtec why should I go through the trouble of swaping to an h22a.

i was wondering about the suspension between 2nd gen tegs vrs 88-91 crx, i was thinkin that mayble a little more weight would be smoother through the cornering, ive heard that crx's get a little silly on the corners, i like the idea of a hf hatch because of the weight ratio, any good opinions?

The engine compartment is already very tight in the 2nd gen tegs. I know people have done it in the 3rd gen tegs, but I don't see how it can be done in a 2nd gen teg. The 3rd gen seem to have an lil more room under the hood. But if you do get it in, the car will handle like ****, jut IMO
