Technically, Honda's use SHOCKS.

A strut also functions as a locating member in the suspension setup.

Got this from the Monroe website.......

"Struts are a major structural member of the suspension system since they provide structural support for the vehicle's suspension. Like shocks, they also control suspension movement."

thats not true though...a strut always go through a spring. Plus, it does support the suspension. Say if the shaft snapped off, spring could pop out and the entire suspension could fall apart...there for making it integral.

Tokico is good as ninesecrx pointed out, I've also talked with people running KYB AGXs that really like them.

Just don't use the AGX's if you lower more than 1.5" and/or running 400+ springs. My AGX's blew on me from these two factors and running them almost always full stiff on the street. BTW, on a 90 Civic HB
