Al & Eds 2 for 1 coupon.. is it legit? if so.. what should I get?
http://al-eds.com/buyonegetone.html
I was wondering if this coupon is legit and if so what do you guys think me and my friend should get? if we get anything.. we're going to split the cost in 1/2 since you pay for 1 product.. and get the other free...
here is my current setup:
Alpine CDA-7969 head unit
Alpine ERA-G320 DSP/EQ
Alpine CHA-1214 12 disc changer (thinking of getting rid of this for a CHA-S634 to have Mp3 capable changer.. it'll be like $300.. but then my friend gets something free and gives me back 1/2 ($150) so thats not a bad deal and I'd have a 6 disc changer)...
Infinity Kappa 60.2 CS component system
Infinity Kappa rear 6.5" 3 way speaker
Alpine MRV-F407 4 ch amp for mids/tweets
PPI PC21400 amp for subs
3- JL Audio 12W6 subs
RF 1 farad caps
so what should I buy w/ this 2 for 1 deal? I don't want a DVD/screen or anything like that... you guys think I should get the changer and my friend gets to have sumthing worth $300 or less? or I should get/upgrade something else?
it says you gotta get their "standard" installation.. since I already have all the Ai-net cables run to the trunk... and my 12 disc brackets are already drilled in.. all they have to do is unplug the AI-net cable and screw in the new changer.. how much do you guys think their "professional installation" on a changer will cost?
help me out w/ what to get?
first i would call and ask to make sure its legit if your not postive.. then i would find out what they charge for Standard installation.. some shops charge anywhere from 40-60 bux to install a cd player, 20-40 for speaker, about 50-70 bux for a changer.. installation can be expensive after you add everything up..
thanks unfortunately I just got done working on my friends car and their closed now...
its only about a 15-20 minute drive from my house.. I guess I'll just roll up there 2morrow...
any suggestions on what I should get if anything? IMO I have a pretty nice setup.. so not sure what to get other than the changer... my friend was looking to get either an alarm or amp... and we're going to split the cost 1/2 1/2..

you could always get another cap. the cost on the changer you want is $200, so even if you have to pay $60 for install it still is a good deal.
i went to 2 different al/ed's to see what i can do with the coupon, the end came out:
JACK ****...
all their prices on stuff is waaay over priced! yea u can buy one get one free. but u have to pay installation on the item u're purchasing, the coupon cannot be used on accessories only on speakers, headunits, amps and subs. so lets say u were buying a regular old ALPINE CD player for like 2-3 bills. well u can get a set of speakers or soemthing else of the SAME price for free. the thing is, what they sell for 2-3 bills u can easily get elsewhere at a local shop for 1-2 bills or even cheaper on ebay! so buying one and getting one free wasn't worth it. i went all over just to see what kinda deal i can rollout with and it was NOTHING. they want to charge about 40 bucks for an installation of a headunit and 40 bucks for parts(harness, dash kit, wires, etc). so u firgure for a 1-2 bill headunit at a local shop, u'll pay 2-3 bills plus 160 in installation. so it's not worth it at all. but thats what i turned up
