So recently D and I have been trying to get information about a kid I went to high school with who knows who stole my friend's turbo type R. A few weeks ago, we found out that the guy works for Honda. Now I see the paper and it reads this...
Auto worker arrested in thefts
Orange County sheriff's investigators Thursday arrested a Winter Park auto-parts worker they say made extra keys that were used to steal 11 cars from their owners.
Members of the sheriff's auto-theft squad arrested Dennis Collado, 22, of Maitland at the parts department of Holler Honda, 1150 N. Orlando Ave., shortly after 10 a.m., spokesman Jim Solomons said.
Investigators said Collado used vehicle-identification numbers to have extra keys made for at least 11 Hondas that were privately owned in Orange County. Then he had his associates steal the cars, officials said.
Holler Honda management cooperated with detectives in the two-month investigation leading to Collado's arrest, Solomons said."

What a dumbass! Didn't he realize as he logged in to Honda Net with his specific ID # that the system might keep track of every request he made to get the key code for certain VINs?
If your car is stolen you can have Honda look up any inquiries on your VIN for key codes and ****, and they can see the ID# of every person that has accessed that info. Just FYI for anyone that has their **** stolen. Call Honda and have them check to see if someone has looked up your key code recently.

Dennis does not sound like the brightest bulb at the Honda dealership. Damn dude... 11 cars. Now that is some serious time behind bars.
Scary stuff. Anyone know how to polish out the etched VIN code in the windshield?
I covered my VIN plate only to find the stupid dealer etched the VIN right above it in the glass. Not liking my VIN being so publically visible.

Yeah, Fernando's car was stolen probably 8 months ago. From what JJ said at TGI Friday's in Orlando, FL (for those who wanted to know who D and I were after), it took the guy 3 days to take the R apart and sell everything.
The R was fully built running 15 psi.
sounded like a fawking machine.
And yes, there is both an Orange County, CA and Orange County, FL

There's an Orange County in FL too?
They should give owners of the stolen cars the option to cane the bastards publicly
