Default Hondata Gasket Install Questions

How hard is it?

I remember hearing something about loosing heat, is this still true?

Can anyone point me to detailed information on the install, etc.?

Im doing the install today also. Do you have the correct torque numbers for the intake maniford screws. It was either 7.2lbs or 17? Someone please help.

I remember seein 17 ft/lbs.

Will you be installing the race or street setup?
What other materials are needed to reroue the IAC and TB hoses?

It isn't too hard. After some practice you can do it in under an hour.

Street setup is the only one sold now. Comes precut.

Just take your time and tighten from the MIDDLE OUT! and be careful on the collant side of the manifold when tightening!

I haven't worked on my intake manifold yet, but you can actually fit a torque wrench in there to tighten all the nuts?

I put on an intake manifold on a D16Y8 head, but that wasn't on the engine yet and it doesn't look like theres room for a torque wrench. So what's the trick?

I didn't say I was able to tighten them all to 17 I just quoted the spec. I used a short wrecnh to prevent over tightening ande checked them after I drove it for a day.

Yep my craftmens torque wrench was way to long. So i called up my friend to lend my his Snap On short torque wrench .
