Default problems with jdm f22b swap

i just recently swapped a jdm f22b motor into my 94 accord ex. had problems with idle, and #1 cylinder, and it was due to the ecu. i was running the jdm f22b ecu, but it just wouldnt work. so the only way that the car would run right, was with a 94 accord lx ecu. is this going to affect my performance? i need the use the jdm f22b ecu.....

has anyone had this problem when swapping a non-vtec motor into a formally vtec car? h23 into a 94 ex? please help.

also, could i be able to chip the 94 lx ecu?

the reason why i got the jdm f22b was that i am going to boost it. maybe the 2g eclipse setup....but most likely a custom turbonetics setup. i wanted the h22, but i was going to eventually boost it. i also got the motor for cheap....and had a friend install it for me. 500 with the ecu and i already had the jdm h22 tranny with lsd. it was just in the direction i wanted to go in...boost.

o yea, doesnt the h23a ecu have a knock sensor? the jdm f22b doesnt have one. how could i wire it up?

thats why it was so cheap becasue JDM f22 ecu's(that work properly) are pretty damn hard to come by and if you do find one its not going to be cheap i have seen them for about as much as you paid for the motor...you might have had better look with the h23 IMO. good luck to you though. IF you find a way for the accord ecu to work let us know.

edit because i am a moron and cant spell

well i have the swap done in my 93 and i use the accord ecu but mine is a non vtec running it. I had a p75 ecu from an integra but it doesn't have any bottom end at all. it feels good after 4500 rpms but the accord ecu works a lot better over all, it picks up more than a p75 in the low end. if there is a way to get the knock sensor bypassed you can use an h23 ecu. i am trying to figure this out as i need to find an h23 ecu for an auto. my cousin mentioned using one of the sensors from the cat or header as a fake knock sensor but i have yet to try it. ill let you guys know what up. another option is you can get your ecu reprogrammed to h23 specs, which i am gona do since i have a spare ecu.

i know of someone that has had their jdm f22b ecu reprogramed i guess to h23 specs..or kinda...he had it done through ericks racing. heres the link

http://ericksracing.com/ecuobd1accord.htm

150...kinda steep, but the guy that got the ecu done says he swears by it.. 15hp....kinda iffy..but ill have to look into it.

thanks guys...

I got my f22b for 750.00, tore it down thoroughly inspected it and it damn near looks brand new. Oh and they aren't that hard to find in good condition because mine came from virginia.
