all my experience w/h and f series tranny has been that they are all the same. when i brought my tranny in for rebuild, the guy ordered the rebuild kit, now he's saying there not at all the same as the kit he got. he's had it for like a month and im starting to wonder if he is tring to scam me! any help would be app.

Very interesting.. did he get the kit for the north american VTEC tranny or the others?

 

he bought the kit for the usdm h22, i assume. i told him it was off my prelude, and we disscussed the fact that it had lsd, if this guy knew his *** from his elbow, he would know to look at the different kits they have and ordered the one for tranny w/lsd. i am going up there tomarrow...im starting to wonder if i should have attempted this myself!

damn somethings always holding me back, my build should be done tomarrow, and now this!

 

I don't think you can buy a 'real' rebuild kit for our tranny's in north america, you would have to get the parts from Japan.. I believe the gears and synchros are the same but the LSD fiber/steel plates are not going to be available here. I need to freshen up the LSD in my car (slips more than it used to now) and I need to get some parts from Japan.

 

by rebuild kit i mean all new syncro's and bearings. well see what happens tomarrow...i starting to think this guy ordered the wrong kit and wants me to pay for his mistake
