Does buying a cheap radiator cap and thermostat affect performance?
Well, my car has a Stant(kragen brand) radiator cap and thermostat. Is this bad? My car keeps fuggin over heating. 
Could this be the problem?
btw, my fans work fine and I just hooked up a manual fan switch and this does nothing to help the problem

Most Acura thermostat, when they fail, they are stuck at open position.
I don't know whether or not Stant thermostats have this so-called fail-safe feature.
