Default Alarm w/ Keyless have $500 to spend

I plan on trying to do the install myself, I've already have gone over an abundant amount of information on installing keyless entry systems on a CRX. I also want an alarm system, something that makes some amount of noise. I plan on getting nice seats so I'm going to be a little more worried from now on. So I'm looking for a system with 500 to spend that is installer friendly. I don't need a system that is going to completly save my car from getting stolen, this is just one part of a layered security system. Please any brand names, or model packages to look for would be greatly appreciated.

$500 is a lot for DIY install, you can get the best alarm out there the Clifford Avantguard IV but it's way over your head. Pretty much anything DEI is installer friendly. The new two-way pagers are pretty sweet. If you want my recommendation the Clifford Matrix 3 is it. I have the same alarm in Viper (600ESP) which I installed myself. I think the Clifford remotes look better. Two options to get are a battery backup and a hood pin switch.

for 500 bux you can get a great alarm.. like he said the new viper 790 two way. or you could go w/ a viper 600 or 800esp and have a lotta add on options..
some options you put into the alarm are and should be
Hood pin
Trunk Pin
shock sensor, standard on viper alarms
glass sensor
prox sensor
backup battery
second and maybe 3rd siren
starter kill

that is about it, and then you also have options of additional channels to use on the alarm like windows roll down, remote start, etc.. good luck w/ the install.. rememeber an alarm install is only as good as the install itsself, if they find the brain or any wires, they got your car and your stuff

Thanks a lot guys, after checking some of these prices they aren't much over the keyless system I was going to install. As for auto windows, I wish but I dont even have power windows yet. Auto start is a little too fancy for me, my car sits in the garage during the winter. Thanks for the help I had no clue where to start.

any basic alarm comes w/ keyless even the $99-199 ones have keyless nowadays.. but w/ your $500 budget for parts only and self install.. you can get a great alarm like the Clifford Solaris or AG4's.... but thats a lot of wiring and since you don't want/need autostart and window features/dont have power windows...

you might want to look into the Viper 600 ESP or 550 ESP if you want remote start... or the 800 ESP if you plan on adding accesories...you can also get the DEI 2 way pager alarms Alpine is nice but not quite as install friendly as the DEI/Vipers.. Compustar 2 ways are good too... make sure you hide the wiring well and the install is clean.. good luck..

I'm going with the clifford matrix 2, I don't need the turnk release stuff because I dont even have a power trunk, nor do I even open my hatch on a regular basis. Here's two questions I have:

Does anyone know a good clifford dealership to buy from; right now I've see $165 from http://www.adelcom.net.

Second, does anyone know a good place to buy door actuators from?
