Apex N1 and Gt Spec exhausts, i thought they didnt make the gt spec for itrs yet, but yet i have found a place that does. but my question is, what are the differences in terms of performance, sound, appereance, etc.

Usually, any N1 style exhaust, one that has a very small, thin muffler can, will be fairly loud. A freer flowing N1 style exhaust usually does perform better than a quieter, more restrictive exhaust system. But that is not always the case and you will have to do some research to find out which will work for you. As for appearance, that is very subjective and up to your own personal preference

the GT Spec is a copy of the N1 except the whole cat-back is ss. its like how the Super Racing Medallion is to the Racing Medallion.

actually the GT Spec usually runs larger piping as well. however, the piping is usually TOO large for its applications, causing less than optimal power. they dont call it GT Spec for nothing... its probably better suited for HIGH horsepower applications cuz of the increased diameter. on the WRX it made less torque than the N1 cuz the piping is larger... so this shows that it is designed for higher hp applications.

Are there many differences between the GtSpec and the CtLight exhausts by Apex?

I just checked out the inlinefour.com site, and they have a picture of the GT Spec. It looks like that there are almost NO bends from the cat all the way to the muffler. This would probably mean that the piping goes under the LCA and will give you crappy ground clearance.

Hey guys,

Just got off the phone with Brandon @ inlinefour.com. He said the GT Spec exhaust does go under the control arm. The piping is 60mm and it is a one piece unit. Cheers.

I believe they just recently started making the APEXi GT spec exhaust for Hondas. I'm pretty sure GT spec exhaust is mainly for boosted cars. They usually have larger piping up to 95mm. I've only seen the GT spec used on boosted cars. GT spec is also quite expensive. If you're staying NA then the APEXi N1 (60mm piping) will be sufficient. I have the N1..
