Default CAI and Exhaust?

How's it going guys...I've been reading this site for a while and have finally signed up hoping you guys can help me out.

My cousin has an RSX type-S (wicked car but $$) and has been thinking of adding a CAI. I was under the impression Honda made some of the best stock air boxes and adding one of those would not net any if all power.

I suggested he add a cat-back but he doesn't want the farting sound and is afraid he'll lose too much torque.

I'd just like to know if any of you added a CAI and noticed anything (other than a louder sound) and what kind?

As for cat-backs, anyone ever try a Borla or anything else that wouldn't fart?
thanks guys

I know what they say...and unfortunately up to 20HP doesn't cut it for me. I know it will make up to 20HP when it's supercharged or running a 100 shot of juice.

Have you guys noticed a power increase at all?

What about exhaust diameters and brands?

I don't think you realize how much 20 WHEEL hp is. Intake and exhaust will both help performance, why not just buy both?

I can feel a 7whp/5wtq difference in my car...hell i can feel the OIL change difference in my car.

Thanks guys...again, this is for my cousin's RSX.

20 wheel horsepower is a lot I know, that's why I don't believe it. I can't see it making more than 5 (i'm being generous too).

So you guys would do the CAI before exhaust?

What other little things would you recommend?

Dude, get the cai (AEM) and then tell him to get an exhaust with a silencer in it. He will not get the best out of the exhaust, but he will gain horses and it will look phat.
