is there such thing as a T3/T4 KKK turbo? what kinda off cars have KKK turbos?

 

first question: NO

KKK makes turbos like K03, K04, K16, K26 - there is no way in hell you could make a turbo that would have any reason to be called "KKK T3/T4"

The K03 and K04 are much smaller than a T3 turbo.

Audi, Porsches, VWs use KKK turbos; a few others as well.

 

the reason I ask is because i know of someone selling one but his posts he says KKK t3/t4 so in other words the KKK turbo is not worth

 

dbman was saying that T3 and T4 turbo families are Garrett turbochargers, not KKK turbochargers. KKK turbo families are named with a K03, etc designation.

Possibily the turbo's seller is trying to say that the KKK turbo specs are similar to a Garrett T3/T4 or something like that? But I doubt it, use caution.

Are you sure he doesn't mean the K04 compressor wheel in the K03 housing. Either way it’s still a ridiculously small turbo (K03 and K04) and not a good match for even the stock cars they come on.

Not to mention that they are used in German cars.

My friend replaced his k03 for a not much bigger k04 in his gti, those things are tiny.
