Default Soon to be turbo prelude's please read!!!

Ok, like most of you here when shopping around for parts ours are always higher. i know i'm not the only one that goes in the forced induction section and looks at all the group buys but for some reason h-series engines are not involved or the cost is not that much of a discount. Well after many depressing trips to the forced induction section looking for group buys i've came up with an idea...I say we get a bunch h-series guys together and try to get some of the sellers to hold a group buy for us. I think if we can get enough guys in on it that it should work. Any thoughts on this???

What are you talking about? You want a kit group buy, or some parts?

There was a group buy for the max rev kit with S200 for under $3000 shipped. This is a great deal. I don't know if it's still going on, but it was only $100 more than the b and d series. I guess you are looking for a particular kit?

I want parts
Really the only parts that are Prelude specific are the header and downpipe. One of the problems with the groupbuys is that many of the manufacturers of turbo manifolds don't even offer a Prelude manifold..... and most of those that do are crap.

I could not find a H22a manifold out there under $600.00 that I would put on my car.

The manifold was $220.00 or something like that. I can't remember the price for the DP w/flexpipe..I'll search my email file cabinet and see if I still have it.

I had asked him how the turbo would sit and he agreed that it would be like the maxrev design

I realize that. I have prepared myself for the worst. But I look at it this way...I have read on this board how people have had at least one problem with ALMOST every manifold. There are a few like Geoff's who noone has anything negative to say about. But for the most part, Maxrev, SFP, FMAX, DRAG and REVHARD have all had at least one complaint on this board about a manifold. So while those guys spent $400-$600 on theres and had to purchase another one, I'm only spending $250..So if mine is a POS, at least I haven't lost too much...But price doesn't necessarily dictate quality

OK, here's update....

I've talked to a shop and they said if we could get 10 guys that would be interested in buying the revhard mani, they would sell um for 410 shipped. So who wants in???

That's a good price for the Revhard. If I hadn't already did mine, I'd be in. Mine is being made by someone on the board here. Everyone involved is getting impatient though cause its been 2 months and noone has rec'd anything yet. There were 14 of us and the guy has been updating every so often....But oh well, we'll see what happens..I still have faith
