JDM DC 4-1 vs. JDM Honda 4-1 header
Discuss..
I am going to get a header before Christmas, I just need to decide which one. I can get a ceramic JDM DC Sports header for 316.. or I can get a JDM Honda header for 390 shipped. Which would you do? Thanks!

I've heard the DC is lighter.. but I am kinda liking the fact that the JDM Honda part looks stock w/the heat shields.
Oh, and I am getting a Carsound cat as well.

I like the JDM OE header better due to the heatshields. The DC doesnt' cut it in terms of road clearance but if you can handle it, it does have more potential.
If you get the DC don't get ceramic. As long as you are stock ride height you should be fine. IMO it doesn't hang that low. It's lower than stock but as long as you're not stupid it shouldn't be a problem.

But if your car is pretty low, clearance will be minimal...so be warned!
I do have a shitty driveway, so I can see my header scraping everytime I leave or come home. I am leaning toward the JDM 4-1. Does the DC flow better?
Edit: I heard somewhere of a skidplate for the DC header? Or am I mixing my information up? I'm pretty tired, so I could be wrong.

No problems here with my dc jdm. I'm at stock ride height, have no clearance issues. Very happy with the gains, and the stock bracket can be used. More bang for the buck.....

honda header could be ported and reversion chamber could be taken out which could lead to some hp gain, i haven't seen any dynos on that.

I've heard horror stories of the DC Sports 4-1 headers cracking on the weld part that bolts to the block. Anyone have info on this?

i just purchased a DC JDM 4-1 and im debating wether to send it off to get coated or just throw it on and see. also how do the people that have it like it? im running an EF w/b16 so clearence is an aissue, and if anyone has anymore info ont hat universal skidplate, ill be buying one
not sure how durable the dc jdm header is, but i ran my jdm oem up the parking space concrete divider and it didnt leave a single scratch on it.
I am assuming there is no way to attach the skidplate from fastlineperformance.com to the JDM DC??
parts from home depot can give you your very own skidplate..
