Dont understand it....my emergency brake is down all the way and for some reason it just came on and stayed on...

 

Have you checked your brake fluid? It may be low.

the brake lines on my car both blew at the same time about 2 months ago, leaving me with no brakes, and when i turned the car off and then back on, my parking brake light was constantly on. Dont know if this helps any, just saying i had a similar situation

 

unplug the sensor in your master cyl. if light goes out replace the float sensor,we had a lot of them go bad at uor dealer.

This happens when the brake fluid is low. Thats where I would start.
