Guys i need some help and advice.....I'm a newbie so take it easy on me.....my clutch seems to be slipping but i'm not exatly sure if it is my clutch or not....my clutch has been beat on the past couple years......Everytime i try and slam third it feels like the car bogs a little, and takes a second to go into third, is this the clutch or something with the tranny....any help would be greatly appreciated....thnx guyz....

 

Sounds like the clutch. Why are you "slamming" gears

 

Don't slam your gears. Shift smoothly and gently! It works much better that way.

 

if its been a few years, replace the clutch anyway and see if that fixes it. get a lighter flywheel while you are in there and dont slam the gears so hard unless u wanna break something.

 

slamming the gears does nothing but hurt your tranny synchros .Why do stunnaz think it is cool to slam gears??? especially when they don't know how to rebuild their own trannies.

 

Yes, you should be able to shift using only your index and middle finger, any more force than that you're doing it wrong. It's not like the car has a "Rock Crusher" tranny in it.

If you drive an FD RX7 with a C's shifter you need to use a lot of force.....but integras are known for easy and smoothe shifts. Shifting quick can be done with out slamming gears....and most people think those two things go together...but they don't. Be good to ur tranny....ur wallet will thank you.
