what to do with my 90 civic dx auto !
well I have been searching around for a long time on what to do, my plans were to just buy the zc engine and do some small mods to it I/H/E and use it for a daily driver ... (it is currently the DD right now with 196000 miles on it burning more oil than gas)
the fenders are dented up, one needs to be replaced without a doubt and my corner is also broken ... this is gonna cost me some more money
i have $500 in the bank right now, with tax returns coming in soon *another $500* and over that time I will even have more money saved up...
what would be my best options, either buy a new car or just do a zc swap into my current body right now? (I have to pay someone money to do the swap, = $$$
) also i heard u gotta buy a lot of other stuff that will add up to like another $1000 which would make it around $2000 total!!!
this choice is too hard for me to make cuz i dont really know much about cars and everything that gets done to the car im gonna be paying a lot of money to get it installed and stuff

It's too bad you have an automatic...
If I were you, I'd just buy an Si and not worry about converting it to Manual (it would be in your best interests to go with a manual tranny), then doing some bolt ons until you have more money.

i knew this was going to come up ... the manual isnt a big deal / it's not a drag car or something to me .. auto is better for getting back and forth to work for me, but i just want something with some power because u know when u gotta get that speed up during rush hour to cut infront of someone or something ... my 92 hp engine just doesn't cut it!

i'd hold out on the fender/corner lamp replacement, and go for the ZC.
an automatic ZC with i/h/e would be awesome and pretty fun to drive.
you can fit all that in with a grand. save money by using a K&N drop in ($40), a used or cheap coated header ($150), and of course, custom piping instead of a brand name cat-back.

Hey, my car was an automatic. Now it has a 90 LS motor in it and its manual. I got my parts from the junk yard so I didn't spend too much money on the conversion...
Clutch pedals and clutch cable..$60
LS motor complete change over...$800

Mine was an auto too.. First I did the auto ZC swap, http://www.geocities.com/jdmzc then I got sick of that and did a B16A swap and a 5 speed conversion.
