I've beed searching for information about the best turbo to be used with a b18b1 (LS) motor. I'm either gonna go with a T3 or T3/T04. I hear that the hybird turbo doesn't create maximum efficiency for the motor and the T3 would be better. Just wanted some input on what you guys with those setups have experienced.

It would be nice to see some times with T3's and T3/T04's.

I'm by no means an authority on the subject, but I think the T3/T04 would be the way to go. I've been trying to figure out the same thing. It seems that the t3 will spool up very quickly but will kinda die out in power in the upper rpms. The T3/T04 is supposed to take a little bit longer to spool up but will be more enjoyable above 4k. Someone quoted the other day saying that the t3 was great but at bout 6k rpms he was like wtf happened to my boost?

I haven't exactly grasped this concept yet but I think it really has more to do with the exhaust inlet diameter and a couple other measurements.

It all depends on what you want to do with it. For good low/mid range power, a larger T3 should do you fine, but for serious top-end power, a T3/T4 would be better. Search the forums though, this sort of thing has been covered A LOT

yea...the power dying around 6K is what i heard too. i think i might just go with a actual kit then. I'll have to muse over what i want to do with my car.trying not to get caught up in the trying to get most power i can thing. thanks for all the input. and yes i did do a search, i searched for awhile actually.
