99 SI Throttle Body on JDM auto h22?? What's needed?
hey guys, I have a Jdm H22 auto engine with manual tranny in my 97 civic ex (for those of you that are interested). My Throttle Plate has been sticking for a long time now, even after removing it, cleaning it, winding the spring a little tighter, checking the throttle cable for stickyness, etc and My TPS sensor is bad. Well a guy I know is willing to part with his 99 SI TB for 50 bucks complete with map sensor and Tps sensor. After all my searching I read that JDM auto h22s have 58 mm entries where as the 99si has 60 mm. So will his Map sensor and TPS plug and play even though it is obd II and my engine (92) is obd I? Thanks everyone

Umm get a real H22a TB....they are 62mm and can be bored out to 64mm.
An Si TB would be a waste of time.

the Si tb is too small for your application. if it's sticking, remove it, clean it up really well. it's probably just gummed up.
did you guys read?? I cleaned it WELL, and on this site it says that my TB is 58 mm.. because it's off an auto. It's sticking AND the TPS is bad... how about this, assume I'm using it anyways, bad idea or not, now can anyone tell me what is necessary?
This is a "have to" situation, not a "need too" I don't have the flow for a aftermarket h22 TB, and I can't find a stock one anywhere, this one is apparently bigger than the one I've been running.

Bud I have no idea what a 99 SI TB looks like. Perhaps you should try the hybrid forum.
It would be my assumption that a B16 TB will fit on an H22a, since we can use B18C5 TB...
I suggest you actually go and measure your TB, I have a hard time believing they made the Auto H22a TB smaller....

Okay
H22A1: 60mm can be bored to 64mm
H22a4: 60mm can be bored to 64mm
H22a4 SH: 62mm
H22a type-s: 62mm
I don't know about this auto..it doesn't make much sense. Go measure it.

so then would you agree since it's not a type s, I have at most a 60 mm (I will measure for the hell of it) and that the b series TB would be no loss or step down since I need a replacement for safety and aggrevation reasons that fit my budget (little to nothing).
