I installed the AEM CAI on 1995 accord wagon about 2 weeks ago. I started hearing this wierd noise last week @ idle and on take-off and thought it was coming my tranny mount but upon investigation yesterday I discovered that the pipe from the CAI was being chafed by the edges of the hole that leads to the inside of the wheel well from the engine bay. I folded a sheet of paper and put it between the pipe and edge but any suggestions on how to permanantly fix the problem? I don't know of too many flexible materials that can put up with such a rigorous task.

 

Cut a slit in a thick piece of fuel line and slip it over the sheet metal. It will rub on the hose instead. Cheap fix...

 

Make sure the hole is bug enough for the pipe to move and use that rubber mount that came w/ it. That way, if you have any problems, they will warranty it.

I cut off my old autozone slip-on wheel cover
and place it to the metal line with zap tie tighten it.
