Default HKS exhaust

i want a carbon fiber HKS double exhaust but they dont specifically say it is made for prelude...so i can get the piping from ApEx and then get the carbon fiber muffler from HKS, and then weld them together???

probably. but I doubt the pieces would fit together for a simple weld, you might need to add some custom piping in there as well since the two pieces aren't made for the same exact bends i would imagine.

the other problem i see is the hangers. Prelude exhausts have hangers on them, which you wouldn't be able to do with the carbon fiber exhausts unless you found huge pipe clamps or custom made a setup.. which would ruin the carbon fiber look.... not to mention the dual design will actually hurt your HP and torque ratings, and has the potential to sound like @$$

if you run the 92-96 lude
i can set you up with custom piping in 2.25/2.5/3" and you can order the HKS universal muffler

that way you ll have flanges, gaskets, ang hangers from me and their muffler. all you do is weld up and go

As far as the how it will sound: it will sound ok. Hey, the hanger will just ruin the carbon fiber look but double exhaust i dont think it will hurt the HP and tourque ratings because i think as long as the piping is around 2.25-2.50 maximum HP at high rpm and maximun tourque at mid rpm will be preserved...having an extra muffler does have anything to do with how big the diameter of the pipe...is that right? or am I just talking nonsense?

true, as long as you don't go too big on the main section, it should be ok..
