Proportion Valve
Doing a rear disc brake converson on my hatch. the stock valve is a 3030 I have been told that I need a 4040 from a Teg. I also saw one on an SI Hatch 94 that says 3040. Now I am a bit confused. Which one is right and which one would be more effective in my application. I converted my eg to gsr front and rear disc.
im doing the same thing soon(thanksgiving weekend). i PMed TOM aka b18c5-eh2 and he told me he used the 15\16 master cylinder. this is found in RS tegs....
i know for a fact that if you use the one from 92-94 si, it should work... im not sure if it came with abs... if it do you would have to bend the brake hose

you can use a 3030 prop valve...
just make sure when you bleed the brakes that the front locks up before the rears.
i know someone with a 1993 lx automatic 4door civic with rear gsr disc conversion and upgraded to fastbrakes front and rear big brake kit...and still utilizes 3030 proportioning valve.
i also, know someone with 1993 cx hatch with gsr front and rear brakes and uses the 3030 prop valve...no problem
bleeding is the key.
