Default Group buy needed on pistons for F22

Here's the deal. I'm building up an F22 for boost and if anyone else has done this or planning to, they know that there aren't many choices for off the shelf pistons and rods.

What you can do though is use rods for an H22 which are a tad longer (about 1.5mm I believe - don't have my numbers in front of me) and use custom pistons with raised wrist pins.

So... I just got an e-mail back from Import Builders and they said that if I can find a few more people interested, they "will hook you guys up on the price, it will be a lot less than you imagine."

That's all I got and will follow through to get a ballpark price, but if anyone is interested, let me know. This is a great way to build up your F22 the right way and fairly affordable as the Eagle rods are only around $350 (compared to $600 for Crower).

I'm not affiliated with anyone, just need to get some pistons made for my project!! Check it out at turboaccord.com

and be sure to tell us the price you get, that would let people look at it more seriously. I dont need new pistons, but I do have an F22 so if the price is right...

Probe makes rods for the f22 to under 300 too. I pretty sure we could get a better deal besides import builders if we wanted a f22 piston/rod deal. For all I care now that I have my tax id and business license I can look in to a GB

Got an update back from Import Builders - $485 a set (that includes rings) - not a bad deal since rings are included - not the deal of the century though Says he has to do 3 minimum and prices go down from there.

Any takers? Anyone have any other resources info? I need pistons!!

Thanks - Dennis

Is that just for the pistons and rings? Or rods too? When were you planning on doing this?

pauter and crower are who I am looking at for rods.

je for pistons.

ferrera makes all the valves, springs, retainers, etc.

this is my personal preferences.

I can't justify spending $600+ on rods alone so no thanks to crower (although they are the cream of the crop) - I don't see my Eagle rods failing before other parts fail.

The deal is just for pistons and rings. I'm using Eagle rods for the H22 VTEC which are 1.5mm longer than the stock accord rods (141.5 vs 143mm). I'm ready to do it whenver. If I can find a better deal somewhere else I'll notify everyone. I was originally looking at going with Ross Pistons, might go back to them.

Thanks guys
