New clutch problem, motor stumbles when clutch pedal pushed.
I just put in a brand new clutch. The cable is nice and tightened. When i push the clutch pedal IN NEUTRAL, the motor almost dies, the RPM drop lower when i push in the clutch, the car idles rough, almost dies. When i let go, the RPM goes up and idles nice and smooth. This is a really wierd problem, that i dont understand.
Well first off...do you have atleast a inch of free play on your pedal right now...if not its way to tight...and what is most likely happening is your clutch disc is really hitting that flywheel hard...and its making for rough engagement......or else its not enough and its barely touching it but it sounds more like its too stiff.....try adjusting your clutch cable...
when did this come about??...did you do the clutch job yourself...? is it slipping at all...or hard to get into any gears?? this could be a very serious problem but let me know if you did this clutch job yourself....otherwise get your **** towed back to the place you got it from...you could by now have a bad input shaft(worst case scenario)tell me a bit more and I know I could help you diagnos this problem..
