If anyone knows what that hell it is...is it one of my belts you think...it only comes once in a while...its not very loud, but sounds like something like a timing belt slipping just not so loud...my timing belt is brand new about 10,000 miles...so i don't think it's that??
I had my head reassembled about 6 months ago, after 2 valves were bent from the timing belt falling off...it fell off because the honda dealership did not put some main bolt on there that holds the belt! I bought the car used at 125,000 kms....the belt was changed at 100,000 kms...so it is now changed again at 150,000 kms..approx...it now has 166,000 kms.

So what else could it be people?? would any other belts maybe make a sound like that?

PLEASE....anything u think it might be, let me know!!

 

If it kind of sounds like a supercharger whine I have it too. I was told that it is just the tension on the belt. Nothing to worry about.

 

there was a TSB on the timing belt auto tensioner, because it would allow some slack and give you a weird *** noise. I figured this wasn't a good thing (since any slack can lead to major problems) and got it fixed under warrenty. if you're hasn't been switched up yet, you might want to look into that. (though this might have been a 5th gen H22A4 problem only.. it might have also affected the 4th gen VTEC's since it I believe also uses the auto tensioner)

 

The auto tensioner on mine was replaced. My old one was toast. It was leaking the hydraulic fluid so we had to replace it with a new one. So I hope I got the newer part. Now are you talking the auto tensioner on the timing belt or the balance belt?

 

i had a wierd *** noise in my 91. it came and went. it was thew harmonic balancer, the rubber was sliding in and out hitting the cover making the noise.
