I have a 96 Honda Accord that is giving me a check engine light. When they tested it, it was a bad EGR. I replaced the EGR valve and EGR solenoid, but the check engine light is still on. When I changed those parts out I reset me ECU. Anyone had this problem. Could it be a bad ECU?

 

I would check the vaccuum going to the EGR.

 

So it could be a clogged vacuum line. I will check on it.

 

what code does it have

 

 

make sure there is not a break in the wire to the ECU, from the EGR valve.

 

i thought OBD2 has a fully electrical egr and didn't have vacuum lines going to it...i could be wrong though

 

make sure it is plugged in.

 

Did you reset the ECU after you fixed what you thought was the problem?
