Default looking for high 12's

didn't get much info from another forum so wanted to check here.

want to run anywhere in the 12's or low 13's on drag radials in my hatch EK 96 full interior.

now can i get there all motor NA and if so what setup i am not looking for LS/VTEC because i want to have the car as my daily i noly drive like 20 miles a day anyway but still.

or should i just do the LS turbo?

or should i go with a H22 NA i heard that could get me there NA?

i would rather stay NA if possible.

so can i get 12's NA on radial in a 2450 LBS car or do i have to go turbo

Do you know what you want yet? Your talking H22, LS Turbo, NA, ...

Do some research on what each setup costs and figure out your budget and future plans for the car. Right now your talking about a wide range of options.

B18C1/5

stock bore/stroke with a good head package and all the bolt on's.

That will get you 12's..... and it will be reliable.

JDM B18c R "should" go for $4800 - - Swap is reversable.

H22a $2700-$3000 + install + LSD + suspension+ cutting of frame

The R motor is a good all around bang for the buck and maintains the balance of the car.

ET should be VERY similar with the R motor having more top end for obvious reasons.

Having an R motor myself I reccomend you build yourself B18c1 block, 84.5mm 11-11.5:1 pistons, cunningham rods, ITR crank, B16a2 head ported and polished by port flow, JUN 3 cam package, JDM ITR tranny, victor X intake mani, AEM EMS, UL fly, ACT street disc, ACT HD pressure plate, ARP hardware, SMSP or equivalent 4-1 big primary 3" collector header....

Suspension HIGHLY reccomended as well as poly engine inserts/mounts and drag radials (slicks may break $$$ things)

Most of all.....seat time.....practice with your car makes a huge difference.

**** it if i get high 12's or not i am looking and i know there are some guys that have gotten 12's in the SOHC so what the hell i am going to give it a try and see what i can get.

i like the gearing mainly with my car 1st 37 2nd 70 3rd 115 and 4th maxed out at 120. so i figure just boost it and see what i can get i like the gearing and i think it will just make the car fun to drive.

i only want to spend about 3000-4000 on the motor work so maybe that will get me into the 12's but i will be happy with 13's even high
