what Rims do you think is best for a 96-97 accord?

why would you want them heavy wheels...

 

Unfortunately most of the great looking rims are heavier than heck. How about some Lenso VPDs, Volk TE-37s, or RH CP-035's? They can take some serious time off your 1/4 mi times according to Sport Compact Car.

 

How about SSR Decolte Evolutions?

 

or some 15x7.5 or 15x8" cp-35's

 

Well, I am assuming that you want the look of those heavy wheels over some lighter choices, as you did not even include them in your poll. Which is perfectly fine. For 99% of the world, the way a wheel looks is priority #1 - not how much it weighs. It all depends on the look you want for your car.

With this said, out of the choices you gave, I would go with the RH C2s. I think those rims look insanely clean, and they aren't played out like the RH C5's - which I believe are also discontinued. I could be wrong tho.

If it were my car tho, I would go with something lighter. Just my $.02

First of all "tizzite" DOES NOT = performance. Just because your wheel is 17" with 30-series tires doesn't make that a performance package. I could explain rotational and unsprung mass to you but you wouldn't get it so just know this:

tizzite = heavy = bad for car

 

im all for the 13x9 wheels with 30 rubber on em... with the gold trim... bling bling

 

the lightest rims i can look up are
Kosei Racing wheels
model RT penta
the weight is 18.5
of course i didnt really look into so.. i dunno

 

Then there are the real racing wheels like Kaisers, CCW's, Panasports and Revolutions. Most of those are in the 8-12lb range and are usually 13x8 or 13x9. In a race application such as autocrossing there is absolutely no reason to use a 17" wheel. It is heavy and bulky. The motor will have an additional 40-50lbs of mass to move just to get the car rolling. In a car with 135HP this is bad.

 

hmmm... Lenzo's are pretty light weight and are streetable. Between 9-12 lbs depending on size.
