a T3 adapter plate for cx/hf manifolds with all hardware all you need to do is bolt up. and what price would you pay. thansk guys
I wouldn't buy it, but if you're targeting a market that's using OEM manifolds for a junkyard setup, they're not going to want to spend alot of cash. I'd say $50 should do it- $8 for the plate of metal, $15 for the studs, nuts, and star washers, and the rest is labor.
I have seen civ616's plate. It is just like a dsm one but it bolt a up to a t3. Half in think. eight holes taped for studs.... four the manifold and four for the turbo. I think that I am going to get one.
Since I used to sell the HF to T25 adapter plate I would expect you can get two things:
1. A headache from the millions of questions and e-mails from people who have no intention in buying your product or know anything about turbo system building.
2. Since volume will be about 5 a month they will cost you $20-$30 each (at real volumes), plus shipping plus bolts plus some profit.
Here is how to set the price:
1. Figure the cost of a log manifold with T3 plate already on it.
2. Figure the cost of the HF manifold.
3. Subtract the HF cost from the log cost.
4. The remaining amount is the MAXIMUM you can sell it for.
So, Dropshop's log manifold is $100. HF manifold is $40-$60 from the j-yard. maximum is $40-$60. I expect you will need to make at least 50 to 100 to get the cost down. Good luck in finding that many junkyard turbo people to buy. We had trouble selling 20 t25 plates much less 50 and we were the first to sell them, as far as I know.
Most custom people like to do it themselves.
Good luck,
Randy
