Default Y7 to Z6 non vtec to vtec cylinder head swap....

i need some help here, i dont really feel that i want to swap out my D engine for a B, so im going to build up the one i have. i was told in other posts that its a simple bolt, with the need of a new ecu and vtec solonid. ok i get that, but is there anything else i need to know/purchace to make this work CORRECTLY, dont want to stupid *** rig job on my car...any help would be great, thanks..

Use an ex head and ecu. I would also use a ex tranny for the gearing. I had this setup in my 92 hatch. I spanked a typer, gsr, and my friends hatch with a b18b swap.

my car is OBD2 so i am being told that i need a OBD2 vtec sohc distributor and OBD1-->OBD2 ECU wiring harness also...yes or no?
