That iconel material is insanely expensive... i remember seeing iconel headers for an NSX that cost upwards of 9 grand.

I believe its for a honda F1 engine. They use iconel for the extreme exhaust temps and very light weight.

The exhaust header (set) is for the Honda RA001 V-10 F1 motor; certainly not Honda's finest hour, but still pretty darn cool IMO.

When I was a kid, I remember my Dad was telling me about the X-15 rocket plane. He told me it's skin was made of Inconel to withstand the heat from the hypersonic speeds (I think 5000-6000 MPH) that it travelled.
