I am thinking of selling my suspension. A friend of mine offered me his GSR suspension plus $1000. I could use the money to repaint my car. I was also thinking of running the 96 JDM Type R wheel. Would you do it?

 

nope. for a few reasons. One, the brakes are worse, and two, the 96 ITR wheels wont fit a GS-R hub.

Oh really didn't know that. The breaks aren't my issue I can upgrade down the road. I could just use the money.

 

I wouldn't use macco they suck ***. I want good work becaus I have some body damage to fix.

 

ITR brakes are more important than the paint job.

doesn't sound like a great trade to me, if i had a gsr, i'd also consider paying that much for type r suspension.

 

itr's suspension(brakes and handling) is ALOT more important than your paint.

I'm sure everyone remembers the pics of my car I posted a long time ago. I got drilled for it. I know alot of you guys are into autox I'm not. Also my fiancee is about to start driving the car and I dont want her to hit some **** in the road and bend a wheel. It has been done before. If she ***** up a four lug wheel I have like 100 donuts laying around.

 

you'd have to curb a wheel pretty hard, plus CRV donuts are cheap.

if you're going to snip the ***** of an R for want of $1000, why don't you just sell the car and get something cheaper that you can trust your fiance with? you'll spend boku bucks/time getting the suspensions swapped.

I wouln't be the first person on this board to do the swap. I know NAB20C5 did the same thing I don't know guess everyone is different.

 

What reasons did they have though? I know sgT did before for drag racing, but normall rides with the ITR setup. Don't know about NAB20C5 though.

You'll just end up regreting it anyways, specially if you do "it right" and to the prop. valve, etc which I would hope your friend with the GS-R would want that, the booster, etc.

It's honestly idiotic. There are plenty of other ways to make 1000.

Edit: not to mention it would't even be 1000 after you get wheels for it. (assuming you would have to get wheels since you were looking at 96 ITR wheels before)
