For the past few months, intermittently, my car alarm will go off randomly while it is parked. I took it to a shop who tried a few things. It managed to not go off for a few weeks, but now it is back to going off again.

What has been tried already with no success:

• Replaced relay box
• Replaced driver’s door latch
• Replaced hood latch assembly
• Replaced trunk latch assembly

Right now I have to disconnect my battery any time I park my car to ensure the alarm doesn't go off. Then reconnect it when I need to go somewhere. Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

 

If you want to disable the alarm system, you can disconnect the security hood switch, this should prevent the system from arming.

1. Remove the upper cover.
2. Disconnect the connector to the security hood switch.

 

you could have an intermittent short to ground causing it to set the alarm at random when the doors are locks.
