No luck with searches - shock questions
I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I can't find anything worthwhile in my searches.
I just bought stock ITR springs for my GSR, and need to purchase new shocks. I'm looking at Koni Yellows, KYB, Tokico, Bilsteins, ect. What have you ITR guys had the best luck with on the stock ITR springs? Thanks for any advice.
I'll being driving mostly Auto X's and some HPDE's are planned for next year. My car is also a daily driver. Thanks

For ITR springs really any of those work. I'm a bilstein fan myself since I don't have to bother trying to adjust the dampener to the spring rates.
Don't the Koni Yellows not have rebound/compression adjustment from the top in the rear?
Also TEIN DOES have support in the US. It is in Cali but Koni isn't exactly down the street from you.
I think Dave is right, Bilsteins are good for ITR springs.

To get the perch right, you can send them to ProParts, TrueChoice, or Koni NA and have a new ring cut in the shock at the correct height. Not sure on the cost, but I was quoted this when I was investigating get mine revalved for autocross and making the rear perch height legal.
Also, have you considered OEM ITR shocks? Their better than most aftermarkets and can probably be found used cheaper as well. Just my $.02

The rear Koni Yellows being sold by most resellers in the US have a rear spring perch that is too low. (<-Somebody put that in the FAQ!) Koni Yellows will therefore alter your car's basic handling attitude.
He's putting these on his GSR, or at least he's got a GSR according to his message and sig, so he shouldn't have any problems with low spring perches.
The only thing for which I'm sure the Koni Yellow rear spring perch would be correct is a CRX.
typer_801: yes, you can get them modified/fixed.. but why should you have to? That's right, you shouldn't have to.
George: GSR konis are completely different.
IMO, get bilsteins, I love them on my GS-R but I've already said that (and yes, they rock on ITRs too, in fact I need to install a set soon
)

This uses the same rear shocks (as long as it's not a 88 CRX) as the GSR.
not that fam with CRXes to know if they changed the mounts, so I'll take your word on it.
